basically, he claims 30 pounds of lean muscle over the course of 3-5 years
-
Another huge factor is the persons height. I think it's safe to assume that given the same natural genetic response to resistance training, Johnny Falcon would gain more total muscle volume than say Reeves(PIP).
-
Another huge factor is the person's is age.
-
I think he's spot on. I've always said 10 kg's or so clean. That would have been 22lbs. But I'm probably more to the left of his Bell curve there so makes sense.
-
Might be a little low but I don't think that's too far off.
I mean how many guys to do you know have put on 35+ pounds of lean mass with no drugs? I don't know very many.

Will Brink was destroyed in that one thread.

30 pounds, yeah maybe, but during a lifetime. 3 years is insane estimate for anyone. Usually when people think they gain muscle it's just water. I've seen very intelligent and knowledgeable guys fall for this.
-
That seems about right , all these things all predict the same thing, 25 - 40lbs average through one's lifting career. I liked Lyle McD model the best -
http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/muscle-gain/whats-my-genetic-muscular-potential.html .
P.S. - This was Brink at his best, maybe 20 -25 years ago, can only find a small picture -

doesn't take more than 2-3 years to reach your limits.
-
Does Will Brink still post here?
-
i think he's wrong. i've trained for 12 years. 10 naturally. 2 with aas.
i'd say you can only gain 20lbs naturally in 4 to 7 years of doing everything right.

No wonder why so many rely on juice to do anything decent in a gym. My theory is, despite some lacking decent genetics for lifting, a small percentage do what is required in their diet/training to make bigger gains.
You know many who eat 3lbs chicken per day for a few years?
Never miss days lifting, push every routine, train heavy...for years.
And so on.
30lbs sounds about right and the reason most don't come close is they simply do not suck it up and eat/train hard for an extended period of time, or in the absurd quantity(food) to radically change your body.
To claim you'll gain all lean mass would be laughable, there will always be a little fat with a good amount of muscle gain and over eating.
I guess I fall in the few percentile. At 26, I was 155lbs, a year later...200lbs, 10 years later, 220lbs....zero drugs. Granted my bf is @10% now and I'm blocky, but a good 50lbs lean mass gain.
This is to prove a point to the half ass juicers out there. You can actually attain quite a bit on your own, but you were too much of a bitch to do so...now man the fuck up. :DBOOM!
The gym is a dwelling for many people who want to portray a bodybuilder, but only a few actually do it for real.
Unless you're going for the next Sandow or playing professional sports, drugs are just a consolation prize for failing yourself. You'll hear many excuses along the way, but that's the reality of it.
30lbs for someone who never touched a weight over 3 years, entirely attainable for the majority.
Let's not even get started at how weak people train either. Going to the gym and really training...2 different things. If you're spanking your Iphone or chatting like it's a dance club, you're not training...."hardcore"...ahah
-
Consistency will get you very far naturally - but it all depends on genetics.
Very few naturals stay consistent with eating and training for many years.
You will never be a pro but you can definitely have an impressive physique.

If there's one thread that could awaken the old Croatch it would be this.

2. croatch lies about taking steroids

220 and 10% bf? Pics or gtfo.

I think it's to hard to say, to many variables

you gain the vast majority of your gains within 3yrs natty... unless your one of those c.unts who just trains arms n chest for a few years then suddenly starts to do a full routine etc

You're right, I just made it up. Good catch.
Being blocky, 220lbs I suppose is a bit of weight, but I have a fat head as well.1. will brink dyes his goatee
2. croatch lies about taking steroids
Another good getbig catch here...way to call it. The only thing more sad than lying as an adult about drug use, would be lying on a message board. Come on now, why do that when it's much more fun to eclipse most juicers while taking none.

For sure, unless you started with a weak diet, then ate well and a lot. If your diet was the same, probably 85% of your gains would happen then.

I like to train my fingers on Getbig.

After 3 years clean of doing things right you are going to gain very fucking little if anything. That's just fact. I started at 16 so i do believe, start younger, you can gain a fair bit. I was 50 pounds heavier and in better condition. But i was going nowhere after that muscle wise without juice.

He ain't looking so hot.

Great excuse, fattie
-

I wonder what the strength of the correlation between bbing and moderate mental illness is.
