My gym doesn't have a T-Bar. Nor does it allow holes in the base of the wall to stick the Bar in. Any advice on how to create a T-bar w/ a standard 45 lb bar?
-
it takes an extra person or a bunch of plates but what i do is just load all the plates on the bar that your going to do for your set and grab the handle from the cable row machine and get someone to stand on the end of the bar so it doesn't slide, lock the handle under the bar, pick it up and row like a siv.

Just pile a bunch of 100lb plates on the end of the bar?
-
Put the barbell in the corner of the room -if there is any room that is- , exactly in the middle of the 90 degree angle the walls make. We do this all the time and by stickin it in the corner this way, the bar won't move in any unwanted direction
Something like this:
the diagonal one is the barbell...

if you want to do T-Bar rows to hit your upper back (rhomboids, teres major, upper lats, traps, rear delts) you can recreate the movement by doing a wide grip cable row with a lat pulldown bar to your lower-to-mid chest region, or you could do a bent over row in the smith machine to the same area.
The way to create the T-Bar row as has been suggested is in fact quite good, but this movement can also be recreated with Bent Over Dumbbell Rows.

there yo go....an even cheaper one bro. the only good thing about the sorinex one is that the piece is actually heavy as shit. so...if there isnt a corner to put it in you can put up to 4 plates on it before it starts to slide form the weight.
