it's getting good reviews (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/killing_them_softly/), but more importantly, pitt is getting GREAT reviews for his performance.
he consistently puts in oscar worthy performances in most films that he's in. should have at least two of the fuckers sat on his mantlepiece by now i reckon :-\

whatchu talking about underrated. He is WAYYYYY overrated.

Overall, he is a very good actor. I would put him at the top of the list. He is diversified and could play many different roles/characters.

This looks great, if it stays even a little bit to the original book(Coogan's Trade by Higgins) it should be a good show and Pitt is always a solid performer. I find him to be in the workman class of actors, not always great, but not bad either.
Higgins's also wrote "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" which was turned into a Mitchum film in the 70's, also a good watch. If you like Scorsese style crime films, you will like his work.

I posted this on the E board...when I first saw trailer I was impressed. I think its going to be good.

I've been rooting for him to get an Oscar for the longest time......I hope this will be it. it depends on how many other strong contenders he'll be going against.......another guy that needs an Oscar is Leonardo

I don't understand why women go all gaga over this guy. Most of the time he looks like some greasy redneck trailer park resident. Sometimes he looks good in a suit, but most times not. Probably only 165 max. But he is a pretty good actor, getting better with time.

I'll have to check this one out. I still can't believe Ryan Gosling wasn't even nominated for an Oscar for Drive. That's even worse than Franco winning the 81 Olympia! That movie really should have won a few.
