8) if you figure out protein intake by dividing your body weight by 2 how do i ajust for the volume of work im doing in the gym while dieting . powerlifter to bodybuilder need help

I don't really understand the question.
Why are you dividing your bodyweight by two? When you're in a caloric deficit, I'd advise keeping protein intake to at least 1 gram per lb. of bodyweight. If you're paranoid about it, 1.5 grams per lb. High protein intake becomes more important when you drop calories.

i was told thats how you determine the amount of protein you need to maintain muscle .Man im lost and i get all kinds of advise from none bodybuilders on how to become one .powerlifting is far less confusing less to calculate if you can add plates and count to eight your good thanks for some insight.
