one interesting thing this year.

The "names"... the big QBs... aren't getting the hookup they normally get.

As a result, peyton is 1-2, brady is 1-2, and rodgers is 1-1 and who knows what'll happen tonight.

No...the people in the booth are not replacement.  Doesn't matter.  That was absolutely one of the worst called games.  Thats two games now the Pack has been fucked hard in the ass.  Harder than 1MR did to SMM.

I've been informed that in a situation where they both have hands on the ball, its called a tie ball and it goes to the reciever.

Anyone else heard this as well?

They said the reviewers weren't allowed to determine possession, only decide whether players were in bounds. Worst call I've ever seen.

Going back a, few weeks, speaking of the Steelers....Phil Simms showed play after play of Steelers DBs flat out tackling Jets receivers well after 5 yards Downfield, and said "it's, no wonder the Jet offense is struggling, if the other team can, tackle your receivers" and this was before there was the huge uproar there is now....the officiating this year is ruining the games.

As I just stated above, a friend of mine, that is a die-hard fan and former player, told me that in a case where both players have hands on the ball, its called a tie-ball and goes in favor of the reciever.

I would like to know if anyone else has heard this.

Yes, but they were battling for possession on the way down. Remember, its not who touches the ball first.

espn commentators all agree, it was NOT a simultaneous catch.

Packer had it with 2 hands to his chest.  other guy shoved off then had one hand on it.

packer had it.  1 ref knew it.  the other was a groupee to the crowd.  caved.

aaron rodgers was pissed.

Simultaneous possession yes - but not when one player catches the ball and the other grabs it a split second later to try to steal it away.

Nothing to see here folks.......

Anyway, I sure hope they fix shit with the refs... the bullshit calls and lack of calls tonight was terrible. There was one play where the Packers lineman had the Seahawks defender in a fucking rear naked choke, and no holding call.

Another one that springs to mind was the pass interference call on the Packers defender where he was in front of the reciever, pretty sure that should have been offensive pass interference against us.

Can't overturn the call.

It was either a touchdown, or an incomplete pass. Couldn't rule it an interception, even though clearly it was.

Rule is that on simultaneous possession, the doubt goes to the wide receiver. And that's why bumblefuck the ref called "touchdown", because he thought he saw simultaneous possession. Clearly it wasn't. The wideout didn't have control. Hell, he didn't even have the ball in both hands, or against his body. The DB clearly had the ball in both hands, against his chest. So it's not simultaneous possession, in fact. It's an interception.

But, the ref claims it was simultaneous possession, hence, the touchdown. And you can't overturn the simultaneous possession call to create an interception. It's either a reception, or it isn't. Since clearly someone "received" the ball, it is there clearly "simultaneous possession", and since the tie has to go to the wideout, it's clearly a "touchdown".

This is my interpretation of the rule, anyways.

It starts with a bad ref making the wrong call on simultaneous possession, when clearly, it wasn't. He was standing over the two guys and still got it wrong. As bad as not being able to call a coin toss properly.

I suspect next MNF, this is exhibit A in everyone's favorite pre-game segment: "C'mon, Man!"

Gruden was pissed, which was nice to see. At least someone with the guts to say it sucked.

I'd like to see the game called somewhere between the replacement and regular refs.  The replacements don't know the rules and aren't quick enough to apply them.  The regular refs are too anal in their application and often get calls wrong as well.
Title: Re: Open letter to Mr Roger Goodell
Post by: NEXUS 6 on September 25, 2012, 06:47:19 AM
240 touched on one excellent point...the big name QBs aren't getting their usual gift calls and bullshit pass interference flags on every third and long. Tom Brady was losing his mind Sunday night

But overall it's a travesty, I'm waiting for the next fucked up call more than I'm watching the game.

Gruden was pissed, which was nice to see. At least someone with the guts to say it sucked.

So was Steve Young (who is usually reserved and compossed) and Trent Dilfer.  Dilfer went OFF.  Fucking asshole Tate in response to someone asking him "What about the push in the back you gave the green bay defender?"  His response : "I don't know what you are talking about"

Typical  ::)

I hope the Pack are fired up so much that they "accidentally" drill a ref or two during the game next week.  A few errant balls tossed into some heads will be VERY nice.

Has Crapface Goodell said anything yet today??

240 touched on one excellent point...the big name QBs aren't getting their usual gift calls and bullshit pass interference flags on every third and long. Tom Brady was losing his mind Sunday night

But overall it's a travesty, I'm waiting for the next fucked up call more than I'm watching the game.

Yes, Brady was his usual sissy self, pointing for a flag if a defender even grazed him, but none were thrown. Other than that, the game was horribly called. Both teams would be in the right to be pissed if they lost.

Lol, What did you expect him to say? I take it your a hardcore Green Bay fan.

Well, to be honest answer with something like "I am not going to answer those questions"  Or, just be evasive like all players are taught to be like "Well, there were a lot of calls that should have been made.  Both teams played hard and you have to give credit to our defense that really stopped Green Bay in the first quarter".

See that?  A total non-answer.  LOL

Oh, and yes...MAJOR fan....from WI, so I have to be.

pats and packers would probably be 3-0 right now, with the regular refs.

I don't count how many you have posted.  I have a bet with someone...I bet you are the one being fucked by the she male and not the other way around.  Which way is it.  $20 hangs in the balance.  Be honest G-turnip...we know you love them.

BTW...how old were you when you gave in to tranny love?
