The USA debt crisis is unsolvable. It is a sinking ship for sure.
We have a brown President. I can see the headlines now. Romney wins the election, the economy collapses a few years later as expected, and the non-whites and liberals (Maher et al) all say: "See, we told you whites half ass everything. You should have had a black President to fix things like Obama did!"
However if Obama is reelected the economy will still collapse. However now the sheep will say: "Damn, we should never have had a brown President. Never again!"
Just thinking out loud here... :P

The solution is simple; tax and cut spending.
The problem; Congressional Democrats don't want to cut enough, Republicans don't want any tax increases.
Therefore you have gridlock because they can't compromise.
President Obama was working closely with Speaker Boehner to work out a deal. Obama could control the Democrats, but Boehner can't control the Tea Party. The Tea Party refuse to tax, period.
Boehner couldn't get the votes to pass a bipartisan Budget, and he has no choice but to support the Tea Party members.
Tea Party = Zero Compromise = Nothing gets done.
Furthermore, the private sector will not invest in workers if the government doesn't function properly. No budget means their interest rates will soar.

most experts agree that the slow recovery will last untill about 2020 at which point our economy will be about where it was pre-recession. even if the fiscal cliff doesnt get resolved and taxes go up on all americans, it will only cause a temporary set back and we would be back on track by the end of 2013.

One basic fact has to be acknowledged. The government has no money. Only the money they take from the workers and borrows from China. You have less and less workers taking care of more slackers. The ratio keeps getting worse. If you want a quasi socialist country like Denmark where the taxes are crazy so you can provide for people who only TAKE we are heading toward that path.
