Depends, above 15% then you could probably run a deficit of 1500-2000, start getting lower then 500-1000.

Since the medical community always gave 1200 kcals per day as the minimum long term sustainable level, that would have my vote.

I agree 500.  That's a loss of one pound per week.

That's not what "caloric deficit" means.

I understand. I was making a joke. You never heard about that 500 calorie diet fad where you have to take their super secret fat burner?
No one can seem to figure out that they're losing weight because they're only eating 500 calories, not because of the super secret fat burner.

It differs? I've been eating like a woman for all these years then  :'( That would explain why my face is so lean that I look a bit feminine.

This sounds the most sensible...

to lose 2lbs per week you need to have a defecit of 1000 per day so that's what I aim for. If you are natural then your muscle is not going to waste away anywhere near as quickly as some of you are making out, in reality you just have less under all the fat than you were expecting...

7, as in 7 calories per pound of your weight.  They claim 10 is the number to maintain, so 7 would be good for lean gains
