Governor Andrew Cuomo said he is asking fellow Democrat, President Barack Obama, to pay 100 percent of the estimated $6 billion bill, at a time that state and local government budgets remain constrained by a weak economic recovery.

can't blame the dude for asking.  The answer should be a laugh-out-loud "no"....

But you know he's gonna ask.   And who knows, a lame duck obama might do it just for shits n giggles.

How about have some self fucking respect and self reliance?

He should be ridiculed and held out as an example...

this is politics in modern america.  He'll probably pardon holder too, just like bush cleared scooter libby or clinton or marc rich...

it's how shit works.  You can talk about 'should be ridiculed' but the american system isn't changing.  Whoever is in office is gonna be a bum, period.
