A 71-year-old man was arrested in Naples, Florida for trespassing, harassing Obama workers verbally, and he even threw change at them from out of his pocket.
Police say that Gary Root was drunk when he stumbled into the Collier County Democratic headquarters shouting obscenities about President Obama. Workers say that Root reached into his pocket and threw a penny at them before leaving.
When police arrived Root was found in a neighboring establishment, still drinking heavily. When asked why he threw a penny at workers Root said it the penny was "all of the money he had left" after Obama taxed him. This is a statement that was recorded in the official police report obtained by The Smoking Gun.
Gary Root was arrested and taken to the Naples Jail Center where he was booked and released for a $1,000 bond. His next court day is scheduled for Nov. 14.
