Title: Is race the deciding factor in the run for President
Post by: bigmc on November 04, 2012, 09:34:41 AM
in a uk politics show

they were interviewing people queuing to vote early in the states

all the black people questioned were voting for Obama

none of them could give a reason based on policies

is race more important than policies in the states

does anyone know what percentage of blacks vote Obama

Is this sort of dumb question necessary?
Yes, people vote for all the wrong reasons, hormonal vote, sympathy vote, doctrinal vote, racial vote, hate vote, punishment vote, etc, etc.

I don't think the majority of blacks voting for Obama even know anything about his politics.

Very well said and very true. I mean cmon who honestly thought back in 2008 Obama would nto get elected. that was one of the most racially driven elections in history, same will go when they put a woman on the ballot. Cmon remember McCain tried to fight fire with fire having Palin as his running mate. Stupid election year, should have been dismissed ....

When Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton ran for President, they lost the black vote big time to Bill Clinton......Despite what the media says.....blacks aren't voting for Obama because he's black....its because they don't want to vote for someone like Romney who doesn't care about any color except green.

seems unlikely

Of course....some blacks will vote for Obama because he's black....however some whites will vote for Romney because Obama is black.......it works both ways however anyone who votes for someone just because of their race is a fucking moron.

i agree

people dont realise how important democracy is

casting your vote for superficial reasons is tantamount to being an idiot

afaik a very high % of blacks in the US have historically voted democrat. no doubt the black vote turn out has increased because the candidate is black.

but then again i would bet there is a significant % of whites that vote against obama because they don't like the idea of a black president.

so probably a case of swings and roundabouts.

Roughly 95% vote for Obama.  And no it's not just because he's black, more becaucse he is black and truly is a legit presidential candidtate.  Not a black fool lock most blacks who have ran in the past.
