Title: Can Obama close the gap/heal the bipartisan wounds?

It seems he has been a polarizing figure, and when you see who voted and didn't vote for him, things are pretty bad. What is the road map going forward to get America back on track?

Hopefully the Dems use this as an evaluation with how close it was, and make some concessions to get this country back on track.

Republicans are to ideological to compromise on anything.  Now they are a wounded dying animal that will lash out in desperation at any perceived threat.
