Class guy huh?
The Romney campaign lost no time shutting off the money faucet. Too bad his employees had not gotten done with the election night business before he did so.
Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.
We would have been on our own at about 1p.m. Eastern time January 21, 2013 as well.
Except for not being a few handfuls of underpaid over worked interns we would have been in the same boat at that time. I could picture him selling off our national treasures at fire sale prices. And doing everything possible to exploit the riches the people of America have built over generations to the highest bidder.
Look what he did to the loyal workers that stayed with him past the end to make sure everything was put into order.

Classic.
They're all lucky they're not working in China now.

A sign of how america would have turned over night aaah america... heading down the drain either way
lol what makes me laugh is how americans are so dumb and ignorant... and get fooled over and over and over and over with all these 'elections' and 'campaigns'...
Obama is bling blinging with a wide smile because he will be making $$$$$$$ for another 4 years and living in the white house (ha ha ha... white house).

Fuck.

Yeah, that big 250K Salary is sure big money.
Obama is already rich... he isn't doing it for money.

400k, and let's not forget the "investments" that he'll have after being in office. The Pres and his family are pretty much set.
-
He will make $1 million per speach for the rest of his life. He will travel the country and be a guest speaker raking in the cash.

You're right... I keep forgetting they raised it again.

When you think about it, they probably should raise it again, due to inflation.
But they won't, due to the political and economic climate. They probably will raise it at the end of Obama's term.

I think the POTUS should be like jury duty... Someone is forced to do it every 4 years who doesn't really think about it.
No re-elections... No incumbency... Just 4 and done.

lol
This is nothing. Trust me he's taking a massive decrease in pay working for govt. Also they can't invest in anything due to very strict policy.
-
pres gets $400k salary for life as well.
however, book deal + speeches + working for a thinktank = priceless!
-
He should've waited at least a day to turn the cards off, or at least warned them, but I understand why he did it. Imagine a bunch off pissed off former employees with work credit cards in their hands, drunk after the final night at work, they could buy anything they want.

I'll go $10 for an hour.

Yep. The extreme is christine odonnell... running for senate in delaware I think...back in 2010.
She ran for office, then lived off the campaign $ for the next 18 months... she even charged movie tickets and bowling games to the campaign donor.

I think 6 years with no re-elections would be perfect. And they are not allowed to campaign for anyone else while in office and after they're done. But they should be taken care of after their done.

Yeah Romney is terrible. Not like those sweet people who put on 1 million dollar state department dinners. They are the salt of the earth. When I was at the White House Christmas party last year, I drank the finest Bourbon, ate shrimp till I was stuffed, all while being entertained by the Marine Corps Band. Oh, and there were 8 of these parties. But so happy Romney didnt get elected. He might have forced me to drink beer instead.

Daily Kos? You outdo yourself Stark. Maybe you ought to be reading Mein Kampf to us next. Equally unbiased, lol.

Folks on Medicare would've experienced the same treatment had Romney become president.

I would be willing to bet that Romney will take care of every single person that might have been impacted by this but you will probably never hear about it.
There are tons of stories of his random, selfless acts of kindness out there, some well before his political career, that actually shows he is a man of integrity. Sadly, none of the liberals would ever want you to believe that he is a decent person.

Are you talking about Romneys long history of bullying others and making their lives miserable.

I question the validity of that list. The mere inclusion of Research in Motion (RIM) to me is suspect. It has nothing to do ith Obama's reelection. RIM is a Canadian company ho has taken a beating thanks to Apple & Samsung.
As for the timing, I would think holding off on such news until after the election would only benefit Romney. Making these announcements prior to Nov 6th, would have only seen Obama's vote numbers increased.

Romney is an actor. His every smile looks learned, like a robot doing what he's told.
