Avengers?  Really?  I enjoyed the movie but it cant compare to any of the greats.

why not?  it was an incredible spectacle of computer graphics and blows the shit out of any other comic book movie ever made when it comes to action scenes, which is mostly what these movies are about...

it's an incredible achievement today, if it had come out even ten years ago people would have absolutely shit themselves.

I wouls say "graphics wise" it pales to Avatar and "story wise" it pales to Batman.  I enjoyed the movie and own it but's popcorn theatre not great cinema.
