Title: Design/mech engineers, the mechanically inclined, and smart muscular men
Post by: Tapeworm on November 10, 2012, 07:41:38 AM
I need advices on hydraulic power transmission systems, application of Venturi-de Laval/choked flow nozzles, general machinery design, and the muscular development benefits we can predict from such a unit.

Getbig knows all.

I know several getbiggers who can speak to the choked flow nozzles topic.

What advices are you looking for?

If hydraulics is the way to go to power several independent pieces of machinery with an aggregate requirement of around 50 Kw, given that each unit needs to be governed in terms of both speed and torque.

Also looking for advice on de Laval nozzles to reduce compressed air requirements for atomization of sprayed materials.

And how to put it all together most efficiently from a design standpoint.
