Title: Metal in bodybuilding (videos)
Post by: Moen on November 23, 2012, 03:36:24 PM
Absolutely terrible and annoying as fuck. We all know how "hardcore" all of this is, WE KNOW. Put some acceptable music in there instead of this "make as much noise as possible"-metal.

Example:

Metal is awesome. The song in that vid sucks though.
BTW, the whole "Make as much noise as possible" just means that you can't understand whats going on musically, at least in most cases. There is some metal that is literally just random noise.

Much better. But then again, anything is better.

I can't comprehend for the life of me why people would voluntarily listen to that kind of noise.

Does it matter what's going on when the end result is annoying noise? It's music, nobody cares about the process. Although I highly doubt this kind of noise requires talented musicians.

Singer has make-up on, long bleached hair and completely shaved arm pits. I'm starting to understand the connection with bodybuilding. They share a mutual fondness for anything homo.

Lol, dead wrong. And the end result to YOU may be annoying noise, I hear music. As I said, when you can't comprehend whats going on, it's going to sound like noise. There is certain metal that sounds like noise to me, Grindcore being the notable example. Im in a big European melodic metal phase right now.

As for the talented musician part... dead, dead wrong. I'd venture to say that Jazz, Classical and certain types of Metal require the most skill of any types of music.

Well I failed my recorder exam in high school so I'm not exactly the artistic type. You may very well be correct. But it still sounds annoying as fuck to me.

Common sense would dictate that you'd put music that everyone can tolerate in videos meant for the bodybuilding (or any other) audience.

Metal is an acquired taste and, as a whole, much more technical than many other genres. What is your alternative?
