but from what I have seen most guys with tats are complete losers trying to look tough. And usually unemployed.
I know that there are exceptions, like war vets with insignia, hard workers, good fellas etc but that's MOSTLY what I've experienced.

True true, it's just that I seem to be seeing so much more of these types about these days.

Back in the 80's not many common people had computers at home either, today though, everyone has.

Well, you'd be a fool to live in Silicon Valley and not have a computer these days.

A lot of guys who get tattoos are frightened little boys who wear them like armour or a musclesuit.
They might as well say "please be frightened of my inkwork so you dont pick on me and that way I won't get my ass beaten". This is why a lot of prison inmates get them. They think it will prevent them getting a visit from the uphill gardners in the shower.
The amount of complete fannies you see in the gym with neck and face tattoos these days is a joke. Silly little kints. I always go out of my way to intimidate the tattood kids because I know they are shitters.

Perfect analysis.

i always thought that tats were basically for white trash kinda people, although my x-wifey did have a tat LOL!

I found this tattoo funny when i was 18 and got this done in London 1985... of course i was a bit wilder then. I think your entitled to your opinion but please do not think all guys are idiots with tattoos. I grew up in a working class area and yes some guys were tattooed. It was not like today where every one has "in" tattoos and in the British Army it was common to be tattooed although they never approved of it. As i wrote on another thread i coverd one that was a naked woman on my arm. I do not regret them because they are a chapter in my life that is on my skin. I have fond memories getting this red devil with another young soldier(we were in Basic training, Woolwich London 1985). I had a few tattoos before this and my friend was never tattooed and after a few beers he said,"OK fuck it lets do it". The tattoo artist was an ex soldier and said to him , "give me your virgin arm son"..i laughed at this. remember it was not all fancy like today and was more primitive. when he did mine i said,"write Born to raise hell round it".. he said yeah.. thatīs good and i never paid extra...LOL.

i'm curious donny, is it offensive to a Scot to ask him if he's a catholic or a Protestant?
-

For sure Donny, I know there are good guys with tats.
I look at the fella before the tats to assess him.
Good fella you can tell. Loser, you can tell.

used to be...but my best friend was Catholic...never botherd me...

Now I am always chuckle openly when I see guys with barb wire or arm band tats.
it's like permanently being forced to wear something that was a fad...and everyone knows it

When I was younger the only ones with tattoos were bikers and some military guys. Now when I go to the beach whole families have them every group I see. Grandpa, grandma, mom, dad and all the kids. It's just not cool. It's kinda like the 50 something guy wearing an ear ring thinking he's rocking a radical look but he looks like a loser with a fag ear ring.

thanks genius
So you fit my description, right?
-

Are you trying to be stupid?
-
Why are you trying to enlighten us about the more common usage of computer and "computerized" households?
Why are you trying to dispute the fact that there are more computer-owners in this day and age than in 1985?
It is the truth, you will just have to face the facts and reality gaybear.
It is commonplace these days, whether you like it or not.
Same deal with tats, roids and Kale Greens.
-

covered in ink
but have a good job, married, never been arrested
stereotypes are always wrong...
people with multiple weird piercings on the other hand...
;D
-
Depends on the tats - I like tats that are like paintings and well done... more in the Yakuza spirit.

Those are the pits! You know that those people are not trustworthy whatsoever!
Those kind of people are just as dreadful as the despicable console-users of the 90s.

ok ::)

Tattoos have just become more mainstream to the point people just want to have them to look/be/feel cool.....then they get to an age where they regret them, especially shitty work. I don't mind seeing tats that you can tell cost a grip, Im usually amazed at the work, but that usually isnt the case with most people. Nothing looks more stupid that a body covered in what looks like preschool drawings and scribble.
I do love seeing sleeved sluts tho, some reason it makes my dong tingle

yes the Tats today are much better and better colours. The needles are better and finer. It used to be different and really was not so clean and sterile as today. Now you can go online see a guys work or womens work.. lot of good tattoo artists are women too. You have more choice and back in the day it was not so open so it was just really word of mouth who was good or not.
-
I have a ton of ink, but I got it all when I was younger, and don't really give a shit about tattoos these days. If there was a cheap and easy way to get rid of them, I would probably do it. I hate when people strike up conversations with me based on it, and start showing me their shitty ink and what it means to them ::) .... like I give a shit. plus, it blows when you are white collar and have to wear long sleeves in the summer for work.

it must be wonderful to have such certainties in your life and outlook

Im sleeved, work a full time job and pay taxes. I dont claim to be anything other than a middle aged man that is trying to survive. I do hate the tattoo phase that has swept over America in the past decade and every person and their brother have them and or are self proclaimed tattoo artists. All my work is a timeline of my life, now I see idiots getting tribal stars or even worst a girls name on them. or whats up with these baby footprints way oversized. I asked on person if those were their childs feet markings, they said yes. I said GODDAMN did you give birth to bigfoot ?
The tattoos on these wannabes are about as bad as these 110# wimps walking around in Tapout shirts.
-
ive said this before and i'll say it again,,,, young girls who are coverd in them at early age will be basket cases in middle age....

I am thinking of tattooing Big Ron Avidans face either on my left arm, back or on my penis.
Haven't decided yet.

i never understood the whole tat thing either. just be yourself and stop copying stupid ass rap videos, or rock stars or thugs. IM in my 30s and have never thought once in my life of getting any tats. i listen to some hiphop and rock that doest mean im gonna tat myself up just becuase they have tats. Just makes no sense. worry about more important things like having a good life, nice house, good career, helping out others who need help. this fucken generation is fucked especially with all these stupid ass reality shows guiding the younger generation. dont get me wrong having fun is important, nice cars, women, traveling, going out dressing nice and hitting a club or lounge but man people are acting so stupid nowadays, no class. shows which way society is heading.
-
they are totally losers trying to look tuff
arm sleeves so gross on girls
yukkkkk
piercings for losers too
:D
