I think you nailed it. Jethro Tull has some pretty good straight rock songs. Locomotive breath is on my gym playlist.

Easy win. There's very few bands that have had such a lengthy career, without major line up changes. The fact that there prog and have had a long and lengthy career is bloody amazing.

Post by: njflex on December 03, 2012, 09:33:39 AM: ELP...spinning piano's mid air,,drum set rotating around with massive gongs during drum solo for good measure and a bassist/guitarist who can sing even tho he looked like he couldn't...good band,,some stuff was overblown with large piano/drum solos and then the real solos later which were 10 plus minutes as well...greg lake had cool voice..
