Alan Parson's Project.

I'm not a massive fan of prog rock, some of it is just boring BS (like Pink Floyd- technically brilliant but boring as fuck).
Jethro Tull are highly enjoyable, Yes ain't too bad either.
-
Dream Theater has held this title for years.
-
Shitels hands down

I think you nailed it. Jethro Tull has some pretty good straight rock songs. Locomotive breath is on my gym playlist.

Fates Warning long before Dream Theater. And to some extent, Queensryche, too. Although they turned to crap and have since split. We'll see which of the two bands emerges better.

Easy win. There's very few bands that have had such a lengthy career, without major line up changes. The fact that there prog and have had a long and lengthy career is bloody amazing.

ELP...spinning piano's mid air,,drum set rotating around with massive gongs during drum solo for good measure and a bassist/guitarist who can sing even tho he looked like he couldn't...good band,,some stuff was overblown with large piano/drum solos and then the real solos later which were 10 plus minutes as well...greg lake had cool voice..
-
floyd...my fav floyd clip lol

King Crimson, Pink Floyd, ELP, Yes, just to name a few! Toss up take your pick!
-
