Title: What the hell happened to serge nubret?

When he was in hospital someone logged in by his account at bodybuilding.com (he used to post there) and said something like "help me - they are trying to kill me"

He chatted with Jimmy Thomson on this very site about it. I remember the 2 of them discyssed Weider's fondness for Transvestites. Shorty after, both ceased posting.

Post by: MORTALCOIL on December 10, 2012, 05:46:42 AM: Nubret was known as extremely bitter during his last years, he could barely make a living, was still "haunting" the REM gym in Paris, living at friend's place and though he still looked good in pictures, he was in terrible shape (and I mean barely walking). He had found God and was talking in cryptic ways to most. Pretty much had lost everything including his mind. Some at the REM said he carried old pictures of himself everywhere, showing how great he looked at his best (which let's face it was true). Stuck in the '70s.

He was saying he was going to guest pose at the arnols and was in as good a shape as he had been at 60. He wasnt young but still had a firm handshake and was a big guy. I was surprised when I heard he had ended up in hospital. He had no signs of looking sick when I met him.
