well, given that i live in toronto we are affected by the urban expanse... so even though areas an hour north or south are getting walloped the weather tends to be milder here...

No its global warming as in average annual global temperature increases. It isn't just a very mild increase in temperature spread evenly over the geography of the world and throughout the entire year. It is a polarization and seperation of the extreme ends of the weather spectrum.  Less normal days and a lot more days with extreme weather. Both super cold, and super hot. Bt when averaged out it results in a slight increase in temp. And increasing ocean temp means more hurricanes. And more hurricanes means more pollutants in the ozone and that means more warming. And more warming means more glacial melting and more glacial melting means more warming.  Its a vicious cycle on multiple levels and there are numerous negative effects from ocean Ph levels messing with sea life to increased storms and super hot days that put human life in danger to rising sea levels displacing populations etc etc.

Yes man kind has shown itself to be utterly incapable of affecting significant change in the world. The idea that humans could damage the environment is just so fucking obtuse and illogical one must wonder how in the world people ever got to thinking such a stupid fucking thing
