when having political discussions its iimportant for the speaker and the audience to have similar understandings of the definitions of key terms

heres my own opinions

capitalism= free markets, private property and industry, no or very little government regulation, distribution of goods and services by price system.

socialism= regulated markets, both private and public property and industry, heavy regulation, distribution of goods and services both by price system and government charity.

communism= zero private property, all industry is cooperative, public owns all means of production and goods and services, distribution  by consumption.

welfare state= fiscal policy that revolves around taxing and spending on social welfare programs like military, police, education, healthcare, food stamps, etc.

libertarian= government should exist but should be as limited as possible

right wing/conservative= values tradition, capitalism, religion, the military, and is individualistic.

left wing/liberal= values science, empathy and understanding, and is collectivist.
