Title: Is it Possible to give an Explanation on why 250K is the magic number?
Post by: Skip8282 on January 07, 2013, 06:03:19 PM
Anyone capable of putting forth a reasonably intelligent argument.  Doesn't seem to me they did any study or comparative analysis for different cities and regions.

Maybe they did?

Anyone?

I don't know. My wife and I make around 300k and I don't feel rich at all. I will tell you though, most have no idea what it takes to make that kind of money legitimately.

What type of area are you in.  In NY city, not going as far with 300K.  Macon, GA....you may be considered pretty damn rich.

I'm in NYC - 250k is not rich by any stretch.

Even if it is - its nothing compared to the size of the debt, deficit, and problems we face

No, my Aunt and Uncle.

In the capital area of MD, 250K would not be considered rich or even wealthy.  Now, you can live comfortably in this area on 250K, but not rich.

Hopefully they were not in the Lake Tobo area when it became Section 8 over night some years ago.
