Title: PEDs in the nfl
Post by: theworm on January 10, 2013, 05:31:37 PM
Last summer Andy Reid's son died at training camp, apparently of a heroin overdose.  He was helping the Eagles training department at the time, and when he died they found 47 vials of steroids that turned out to be tren, eq, prop and npp.  Interesting!

Here is the article:
Garrett Reid, a son of the coach Andy Reid, died at his dormitory room. Although Omar Elkhamra, the team doctor of the Philadelphia Eagles, tried to revive him, the efforts of the doctor turned out to be in vain. The county coroner said that this young man (29 years old) died of a heroin overdose.
The death of Garrett Reid was a real tragedy for the family of Andy Reid. Moreover, the case caused some troubles for the Philadelphia Eagles. The football players had to clear themselves from suspicions linked with usage of steroids. Several anabolic steroids were found by local police officers in the dormitory of Garret Reid. Furthermore, syringes and needles were found in his possession too. The steroids were identified by police. It was reported that Garrett Reid possessed Nandrolone Phenylpropionate, Boldenone Undecylenate, Testosterone Propionate and Trenbolone Acetate. Since these preparations were found at Garrett Reid’s dormitory room, some suspicions arose. It was noted that the coach’s son probably provided these banned products to members of the Philadelphia Eagles. So, Garrett Reid’s death turned out to be a trouble for the total sport organization.
Some of steroids found at Garrett Reid’ dormitory room are fast-acting. These products are commonly liked by sportspersons that submit to drug testing. Since they are excreted from the body in short period of time after usage, it is more difficult to catch those who have taken these products. Thus, it is suspected that such products must have been used by players of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Although suspicions exist, nothing has been proven. It was not disclosed yet whether anabolic steroids were found in the body of Garrett Reid.
The NFL spokesman assured that he would report when it will be clear whether anabolic steroids found in Garrett Reid’s room were linked to Philadelphia Eagles.

Not possible.  The NFL has a very strict drug testing policy.

My wife works with this bitch whose husband is involved in testing these NFL players. Hilariously she gets mad when my wife laughs and says they are all juiced. Lady claims league is 100% natural because of the tough testing standards. Her husband assures her. I believe it.

Not sure if serious? You believe what? That creatine and new advanced training methods have made the players 20-30lbs bigger than guy's 20yrs ago.

The upcoming tests are leaked...they know about it in advance.
They get a "donation" of urine they know is clean and a doctor or medical technician will catheterize the player and fill his bladder with the clean urine.

He was being sarcastic.. But you're right, they're not silly enough to take something that sticks around in their system too long. When there's so much coin at stake, then they're protocols are always a few steps ahead of USADA.
