Title: What running shoe do you use?
Post by: nzmusclemonster on January 15, 2013, 01:31:37 PM: It seems Getbig isn't just the realm of millionaires and mma fighters. There are also numerous world class runners who run sub 4 minute miles.

So what running shoe do you use?

I currently rock the nike lunar glide 4.

Post by: oldtimer1 on January 15, 2013, 02:03:24 PM: New Balance 990. Made in the USA. You can see the quality compared to the Chinese made shoes. It's not a running shoe for a 150 pound super fast runner. It's great for those over 185lbs that need both padding and stability.

Running shoes are almost like a prescription for what you need. A person who pronates to the point of injury needs a stability shoe. A heavy guy with bad knees or hips needs a cushioned shoe. Someone who is a fast efficient will run better with a light weight shoe that will let him fly. A person who gets injured a lot from running would break down quick running in those light weight running shoes that almost feel like slippers.

That shoe is perfect for a serious efficient runner. I ran in both high school and college when running on the road when I was on the Track team in Tiger shoes. If you are over 170lbs and run over 15 miles a week those shoes offer no stability and minimal cushion. It would be an injury waiting to happen.

Lol, no shit. Fools talking about how they ran 4 minute miles in high school. I doubt anyone here could run a sub 5 minute mile.

if you run with supination (rolling outwards) then you can wear a more cushioned shoe
