http://wonderwall.msn.com/movies/report-schwarzenegger-says-he-still-loves-shriver-1730889.story
BERLIN (AP) — Arnold Schwarzenegger is quoted in an interview in Germany's top-selling newspaper saying he's still in love with his estranged wife, Maria Shriver.
Schwarzenegger is quoted in Tuesday's Bild newspaper as saying that despite their separation he spent Christmas with Shriver and their children.
Schwarzenegger is cited as saying "we're not fighting any war: I still hope for reconciliation; I still love Maria."
Shriver filed for divorce last year after 25-years of marriage following Schwarzenegger's admission he fathered a child with the family's housekeeper.
He has also admitted to other affairs.

Looks like lying for all his life, steroids and muscles only helped him achieve ponctual pleasure once in a while, but not long lasting hapiness. He pretty summed his character well in that interview recently, saying he was an egocentrical asshole who didnt care much about being one ; he and armstrong are both the same kind of duplicit assholes. The irony is that no matter how hard they lie, they get exposed in the end and lose pretty much everything.
He might have had an exciting life, but the finish is quite bumpy. Ever heard of the tale of the hare and tortoise ? Basically those who are wiser, less extremistic, live longer and happier than those who end up burning everything they built.
Look at stallone personal achievements too: abandonned first wife and kids, one is autistic, the other one killed himself recently, while sly was "doing better" with a "better,y ounger looking " woman, and three daughters. He cheated on his first wife who helped him thru his struggle and rise to stardom, when he was nothing, with brigitte nielsen, only to divorce her soon after, and look what she has become.
Sarge prolly killed himself because he was sick of his famous, worshiped father duplicity and scorn toward him and his mother/first wife, while parading constantly with his new, improved, better family.... Somehow sarge realized life was unfair and couldnt deal with it anymore. Stallone prolly doesnt give a fuck about the "past" as he s "moving on" with his perfect new family... first wife prolly depressed while taking care of first autistic child... i guess he gives her money to feel better about the whole thing.

Arnold tried to impress his father all his life, but it was never good enough. His father always looked down on him, beat him and treated him like an idiot (always said Arnolds brother will make it, but Arnold's a failure), and then he passed away before Arnold had achieved anything (even in BB).
In every interview with Arnolds mom she said she just wished Arnolds father could've witnessed what Arnold has achieved. Basically all Arnold did in his life was to impress his (dead) father, trying hard to be good enough.

I'm in the middle of his biography (Total Recall). It's actually pretty good and I haven't gotten to all the current stuff. It's a worthwhile read....

We re all entirely shaped by our childhood and reproducing past scenarii we ve been exposed to. Again you can only reproduce what you know/ have been exposed to, not what you havent been exposed to. Some scenarii and experiences ("stategies of survival", as everything that exists is a strategy of survival, or it couldnt exist) are just better than others.
-
id love top know what scenarii shaped you into the fine young gentleman you are today?
-
money and power can make people do shit like that
-
The only scenarii Tbombz know of is the Deep-tissue massage scenarii

Where did you get all that from? In his autobiography Arnold mentions none of that. He does talk about how strict and disciplined his father was and how he made the two brothers compete against each other. He also talks about how because Arnold was more independent and self reliant, his father coddled his brother more. But there was no mention of beatings and spending his life trying to impress him...

Arnold did say in the book that we are always spending our lives trying to impress our parents
