Pretty sad that the sport is in a place where guys who were relevant 35 years ago are still your best known athletes. That'd be like Terry Bradshaw on every other sports illustrated.

the only sport that has truly evolved is football, every other sport is stuck in the past and can't stop talking about "the good old days"

Good thing because bodybuilding isn't a sport.

fucking true... but every sport has benefited from the PED "tunings" and discoveries that peaked in the 90's because of... bodybuilding.

How often have they printed Arnolds "exact routine" in the past 30 years? ::)

Seriously, that guy can't have had THAT many "exact routines"... ::)

His "exact routine" was a handfull of DBol for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and throw around some weights here and there which are way too heavy for you to handle with good form. Big science ::)

x2. This is much much better than the current crop.

When you lift you hands over your head to do a fdb it should still be full like arnolds. That's is why he still can sell copies and be admired, he had outstanding chest and arms, two departments that are visually important to complete a aestethic look (imo).

Talk about a void of personalities up top?

x2 - he's a "Bauanbua" aka "Gscherta"... the folks in Austria that look like throwbacks to the Jurassic times and are physically very robust - no city fag can beat that.

The supplement ads are actually a very good reason to be anti bodybuilding magazines.

Bullshit - ILM had a lot to do with Dumping Iron's post production.
I vividly remember Georg Lucas describing the technical miracles needed to make Lou's father appear swole'r than he really was.

True...what's even more questionable that they feep printing the same pics over and over when you can see 'rare pics" of Arnold online for free.......

I'll wait for the issue with:

"Arnold's real secrets to a barrel chest and oak-like arms revealed"

"Never before seen pics"

"Collectors edition pull-out poster of arnold"

ferrigno's  father was funny, he showed me a sit-up bench once jumped on it to show me how it worked promply almost knocked himself out banging his head on the wall behind the bench. than he grabbed a latmachine and cut his hand by grabbing the moving area of it.   when louie first saw ah-nuld he said gee dad he's really dumb...
