seems to me like immigration is pretty cut and dry
you can have one of a few goals
1) protect/advance the american economy and citizenry
2) promote globalization and multiculturalism
3) some combination of the two
option 1), we would want to keep immigration limited to skilled workers and academics, while exporting all illegals.
option 2) would desire open borders and amnesty.
option 3) would likely involve open border but very tight conditions for being allowed to stay. work requirements. good standing with the law. etc.
right ?? what are yall thoughts on this

US birth rates continue to slide
MORE and MORE immigrants will be required to fill in the population gap
America will continue to become MORE and MORE diverse
Less white, less christian, less republican, less in favor of gun ownership, etc...
Sounds like the American of the future will be a nice place...

Less Christian? Many of those immigrants are from South America where Catholicism has a strangle hold. There is a large portion of them who are Protestants. Atheism barely has a pulse among them. STRIKE ONE!!
Less in favor of gun ownership? It doesn't matter if they are, since it's a Constitutional right to bare arms. STRIKE TWO!!
In the short term it will be less republican, but when those immigrants become business owners or they see they can't get a job because of the Democrats' party ideology of big government, high taxes and wealth distribution, they will in time come running back to the GOP. You obviously don't understand the Hispanic immigrant. Most of their core beliefs are conservative. Their only gripe now with the GOP is immigration reform. Once that is done away with, IN TIME, they will lean to the party that best reflects their religious and conservative views. Newsflash, that is not the Democratic party. You confuse them with blacks. They are not going to feel beholden to the Dems solely on the topic of immigration. Hispanics will vote for who best represents their interest at that point in time. STRIKE THREE!!
So many times that these libtards predict the end of the GOP or a permanent decrease in republican ideals they are always proven wrong by history. That was heard in the 70s and 90s. In 2008, the Dems supposedly could do no wrong and they were supposed to hold on to both houses until global warming destroyed the earth. What happened in 2010?
Neither party has all the answers which is why there are cycles of political domination by either party.
And yes, I am part Hispanic and part black.

I doubt it will be a utopia or any better. More variety of people with their own interests. Besides, People are still people and will always find a reason to hate. Diversity won't change that.
