Title: T bar rows
Post by: romeo on December 10, 2005, 09:37:14 AM
I do these but i have two questions.

1 - i use the 15 kg plates usually, i dont get much range though. I can stretch al the way but can only squeeze as far as te pates allow - and that is about half way or maybe a littel closer to my chest.
when i do this i feel it at the top of my lats almost near the armpit.....
Is that ok or do u suggest somethign else like smaller plates.

2- th ev bar always slides towards me when i lower and vice versa, so i just put both my hands on the bar and leave the vbar? am i doing something wrong?

i use 45's.... play around with the placement of the v handle.. i found that i really fits perently around the bar... the ROM is the same as your bb rows..

14lbs in a  stone

the plates i use are the same as 45's basically. except i guess they are 35's but the same diameter (at my gym at least).

but i put the vbar at the top of the bar right next to the plates and i cant get the range of barbell rows because the plates hit my chest first . unless im doing them wrong??

does anyone have  video link of someone doing these?

Dude, full range of motion is sooo critical.

yeah...i'd find a different contraption or use a bunch of 25's instead...try going a little slower and not heaving the weight up, you'd be surprised at the results.

I dont have a t-bar in my gym so i put barbel in corner and add loadsa 10kg plates to 1 side.

interlock my fingers  round the bar and pull up to chest, hold for couple secs then lower while try to keep shoulder blades squeezed together.
Not xactly sure wer im supposed to feel it buta fter set, edge of lats are sore.

I never got anything out of them. Seems like an awkward exercise.
