:) I took my usual 3 cc of test-e in my rt quad the other day
it was painless but the next morning my whole leg was swollen and sore
by the night I could hardly use the leg than I got fever and flu like symptoms
that lasted about 24 hrs after that everything was fine
have you ever herd of anything like this? thanks Will

Typical "test flu" symptoms......
Injecting a foreign substance in to your body tends to have that effect.
Don't stress it.

so what would the more gear experienced members of the board say is the most common cause of the "test-flu" metabolically speaking?...from a purely emperical stance, it would seem that it is a mild systemic infection or a delayed hypersensitivity reaction from a histamine release. Perhaps a benedryl would help.
I also have had this reaction intermittantly and am inclined to think it may have some immune reaction behind it. I am going to try a benedryl nexttimethis occurs and report back.

It's the body's basic immune system response to not only the needle penetrating the muscle tissue, but the foreign substance being deposited therein.
Both things.....
Depending on how good your stick is, and how hygienic you were, the damage caused by the needle is minor (assuming you use fresh needles ::))........it's mainly how clean the injectible substance is that matters.
So you have two basic responses, the immediate inflammation response from the needle, and the delayed response from the substance.

For argument's sake; let's say that I felt that a particular bottle of gear was potentially problematic and I wished to "decontaminate" it. What would be a safe method to "resterilize" (assuming it was to begin with) my gear. Should it be done in the barrel once its loaded or passed through filters?
Perhaps some of you home brew guys could shed some light on this...

Sounds like the bodys response to a mild infection that it was able to overcome on its own. I like the direction you are going with this bravo, intrested to hear what happens with the benedryl experiment.

You can't resterilize your gear, unfortunately.
Tips to avoid any subsequent decontamination:
Wipe gear top with alcohol--let dry.
Draw gear with a large (18 or 20g) needle.
Wipe skin with alcohol-let dry.
Inject with a new (22 or 23g) needle.
I never inject with the pin I stuck into the bottle.

As freakfest already stated, It's one and done.
You can't re-sterilize.
