Title: I can't stand lazy, discourteous people at the gym
Post by: godeep on February 05, 2013, 06:20:00 PM
So this guy has a decline bench, 3 plates each side of a smith, and 2 db's of different poundages (doing shitty ROM with all of them) AND then leaves it all and doesn't wipe up the seat on the bench. Then proceeds to another spot (hammerstrength wide iso) and does it all again. He and I exchange words and he offers up a lame excuse "bro I been comin here fo years and nobody pick up shit, why should I?". It gets a little heated but after a few secs I say "fuck it, your mom doesn't work here" and go on with my workout.

I can't stand these lazy people. I shudder to think what other examples they set as they go about their daily routine. Losers.

I can't stand those fuckers either, picking up after yourself is common courtesy, good gym etiquette and part of a workout.  People always amaze me, they somehow think that doing some prescribed routine movement is exercise, but returning a set of dumbbells to a rack is not.  And as for those disgusting fuckers who think it is OK to leave their sweat dripping of equipment, those fuckers should be banned!

Go deep is the kind of guy who dresses in all black, goes to the gym and gets on all fours, patiently waiting for some stud to mistake him for a bench for doing some lying rear delt flys.

Take a picture of him sleeping through the window and nail it to his front door.

Best advice ever.  Well that or taking a picture of you dropping your load on his wife's back and saying "I have been coming here for years and I don't clean it up either, so I guess we are even"

Get a 4" holesaw, bore a hole through his car door, and pump the vehicle full of fast setting concrete.

Mail letters to his 100 neighbors and local police saying that anyone who sets foot on his property will be shot.  Then paint his house camo.

When we get a real bad offender, all of Getbig should just show up at the gym with crossed arms and stern faces.

heck, the majority of men won't even flush the toilet at a public restroom or wash their hands afterward, so you can't expect them to put their weights away and clean up and wipe their sweat off benches!..

it sucks, but that is the way it is.. bad human nature...

NO ONE has empathy ( do alot even know what that is or how to spell it even?)... i mean think about it" do you or would you like to have to move someone's else weights? NO, so why wouldn't you move the ones you just used? makes no sense...

you can chalk it up to no empathy and laziness and in some cases sheer stupidity and cluelessness like the people who stand or walk right in front of you as your lifting a heavy weight or talk to you while your doing a rep...

Happened to me a couple years back.  Some dude apparently was doing supersets with machines across the gym.  I see the hammer back machine is free and I load it up and into my set some dude comes running over out of breath at how I am fucking up his superset.  I told him the machine was free and how he needs to wait his turn.  He runs and gets the manager and I explain to the guy what I saw and the manager tells him that supersetting is only allowed when the gym is empty and the guy walks back all huffing and puffing.  After that and a couple other dumb incidents I have spent close to $10k over the last few years on my home gym and have been happy ever since.

I just can't stand the fucks at our local YMCA, the ONLY reason I continue is the weights are completely inadequate in my condo gym, and the only other alternative gym is loaded with drug dealers (not PED's, UNFORTUNATELY...) :D

I like to load the leg press up with as many 45's and 100's as I can then walk away.  I watch from the cardio area at all the people get pissed.

Just joking.

Had a 130 lb guy with pin legs want to work in with me on the hamstring machine. I'm a nice guy so I say sure not a problem as I alternate between squats and the hamstring machine. The guy literally takes 5 minutes of pacing back and forth psyching himself up to do 4 or 5 reps that are completely awful. I started looking around after the 2nd time I had to wait on him to see if there were cameras and this was part of a "What would you Do?" episode...

I love leaving weights on the floor because I'm lazy but I can't stand it when others do it before I go to the weight rack. Likewise  I don't take the plates off the leg press machine after I'm done but others had better take the plates off before I use the machine! ;D

Good...nothing worse than some "better than" clown leaving his chump weight on the machine.  Show some respect boy, you're no Ron Coleman. :D
I don't care much about wiping a machine, unless you're dripping pounds of sweat on the treadmill.
Everyone today is a huge pussy about "sweat germs".  It's amazing people weren't dropping dead 2 decades back from "shopping cart" diseases..haha.  Just saw some lady wiping her cart, before walking around the supermarket.  Funny, that same lady had a fuck trophy with her, which means she likes it rawdog no rubber.  No germs there. :D

Times like that, it's nice to have a really strong protein fart on standby.

wait til you finish your set, and just quietly seep one out.  Then loudly laugh at him for being foul, and walk away offended.  He'll have the double whammy of smelling another man's bowels, plus everything thinking it was him.  Oh, and he'll still have to un-rack your weights in the dirty air.

i get pissed when some guy, about 5'7" about 130 lbs. moves my towel off a bench I'm working out on while I'm returning my dumbells to the racks. I just let it loose on some non-speaking, Rio Grande wetback about two years ago. He probably didn't know a word I was saying. But a guy came up to me afterwards and he was afraid I was going to take apart the guy limb by limb.

And i was at 271 at 6'2" and 10bf and crazy vascular at the time.
