I come on GB once in a while and did a count this evening and noticed that 99% of posts have fuck all to do with BBing!! But holy shit there's a lot of funny fuckers on here still!!
Who here actually lifts or "works out" anymore?

Haven't lifted since 2007!
Still GB is a great site for hilarious comments, interesting experiences and great photoshops!
It's all like one big great Getbig-family where we have gotten to know eachothers escapades during the years!
Tbombz grew up here on Getbig for example! We all remember his dumpy scooter riding in to these ere parts and now, look at him, a full grown man flaunting his buttcheeks in the mirror!
We have seen pros come and go (via meltdown) and some veterans are still among us!

I still train...but the reality is...
Muscular Hypertrophy is:
- progressive resistance exercise assiduously applied
- diet somewhat higher in protein than average
- some vitamin supplementation
- sufficient rest to recover
- and if you can afford it, endocrine manipulation.
How can anyone find more volume on the subject to post about than what is here is beyond me.

I lift 4 times a week. At 40+ I have never been stronger than now. The problem with lifting as you get older, is injuries. Shoulders, elbows, knees, forearms etc....
However, the main key to progress is consistency. Do not skip workouts, or at least minimize it.

At 40, I still work out, not so serious about it any more, just had a lay-off of a couple of years, longest I have had since I was about 20 I think, hard getting going again, and like another poster said, injuries start piling up as you get older, my left shoulder is fucked and so is my lower back, you just learn to manage as best you can, gets harder to get in great shape and staying consistent can be tough also. But I always feel better when weight training is part of my life, over the years I have had long breaks from training only to eventually feel like shit and gravitate towards the gym again. I suppose for me it's about the only thing I don't mind doing that keeps me on an even keel.

I do some exercise 4-6 times a week. Usually lift 4 times and run a couPle times. Couldnt tell by looking at me Bc my diet sucks. But it's more important to be happy than count calories.

Man you should put your life back on track and not troll a forum that is irrelavent to your life be it bodybuilding or say religious section where you dont even care about God or religion for that matter.
Or attacking other people's children or whatever it was that you have done in recent times on here. Get a life.
Hitting the gym for some back in about 2 hours or so from now, keep at it keyboard warriors :D Working them fingers is good for deadlifts :D

start doing step ups for legs, dont step more than 2 feet high just burn out one leg straight through than the next leg . just keep doing it, if you do it everyday your back will be fine enough to add weight to the exercise. or just start with a 40 pound dumbell
