The businessman and billionaire is at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com that Lakers players have been calling with well-wishes and even stopping by to see him in what they expect to be his final days.
“Jerry isn’t doing well and it’s quite sad, but he’s surrounded by loved ones,” the insider told RadarOnline.com.

“The cancer is just too much and it looks like this is the end for him.”
Jerry purchased the Lakers in 1979 and he’s seen great success in the franchise, winning 10 NBA championships.

Riddled with health problems for the last few years, Jerry was hospitalized in 2011 with a blood clot and then had surgery in August 2012 for an undisclosed reason and was expected to make a full recovery.
Turning 79 just weeks ago on January 27, Jerry has not attended a Lakers game during the 2012-2013 season because of health concerns.

Would be great, if Kobe for once stopped thinking about himself, and "dedicated" himself and the quest for a Championship to Jerry Buss

heme-iron causes cancer adonis
-
vegetarianism causes the cancer these days because of all the toxic pesticides/insecticides and genetic modification. that is why i only eat vegetables imported from the Andes where the soil is still pure and windborne genetic modifications have not yet arrived.
-
eating meat means you have the thought pattern like every other meat eater and ignorant of the heme-iron and cancer correlation. ignorance prevails
by jadevons logic dont eat vegetables since they could have chemicals
using a reasonable approaching mind i say dont eat the fuckin meat unless you want to be exactly like 99 percent of the population
-
why would you want to eat like a black person or how the majority of white people eat
if you are a man of truth and a man of wisdom you dont want to be anything like the masses
-
Very sad. He is a true Lakers legend
-
who cares...

Jerry Buss -- owner of the Los Angeles Lakers -- died early this morning at the age of 79, this according to multiple reports.
Buss had been hospitalized for the past few months due to a previously undisclosed intestinal problem ... though it was revealed yesterday he'd been battling cancer the entire time.
After starting his career as a chemist, Buss soon found his true calling in the real estate biz ... snapping up properties all over L.A. before moving on to the sporting world.
In 1979, Buss made history when he purchased the Lakers, the L.A. Kings and The Forum for $67.5 million -- at that time, the largest transaction in sports.
Under his ownership, Buss watched dozens of all-time greats -- including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant -- win the Lakers 10 NBA Championships. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
Buss was also an avid poker player ... and appeared on several TV shows, including "High Stakes Poker" and "Poker After Dark."
He is survived by his six children.
