Anyone know a good site to get textbook downloads? I need "Food & Culture, 6th" and it's $200+. I'm already thousands in debt from books, I'm ok relieving some of that if it's somewhere online! Any ideas?

All I could find: https://www.cengagebrain.com/shop/isbn/9780538734974
$10 a chapter, or $71 for the ebook.

I can get you the 3rd edition
edit: sorry not the same authors

I would just walk into the school bookstore and walk out with it. There isn't anyone there that will stop you except a bunch of nerds that volunteer.

$108.00 international Ftw. Some colleges frown on this tho, and tell the professors to confiscate them.

Thousands in debt from books :o
wtf man.. back when I was studying, we mostly borrowed necessary books from library, sometimes copied them so we could keep them forever.
No libraries + copy machines in your place?

Libraries only have 1 or 2 of each textbook for a reason. And you won't get one at test time. 10 cents a page can add up.
I knew a few people that would buy the book, go to a shady copy place, and they would copy the book for them and the return the original. I hear they would paying 40-ish or something.
You best bet to do it cheaply is to find a buddy in the class and share a book.

Yes, done that also.
Plus most of the time I managed with just my notes from classes.
Possibilities on this of course vary a lot in different places.
