Going in Wednesday morning for surgery. If I don't survive the procedure, I want to give my Getbig account and all it's treasures to Wiggs. Wiggs, if you are unable to take over my account, please pass it along to Dr. Chips.
Oh, 100% tear & detachment of the suprapinatus tendon and some additional clean up. Pictures coming. . .

Take you time coming back. If it takes baby weights don't get discouraged. When I recovered from my operation I thought I was done. My bicep was completely torn off the insertion and it rolled up to my shoulder. Took about 6 to 7 months but I came back. I really fought in physical therapy and doing my own in my basement with an 1 and a quarter pound plate 5 weeks after the operation. I progressed to 3 pound dumbbells and so on. The physical therapist said she loved bodybuilders because they fight to get their function back while others do nothing and don't recover function.

Q: How did I damage my rotator cuff?
A: Well it's been sore and I've been losing ROM for the last few years, so there was clearly damage but I did the real/final damage in mid January. . .
I'm training with a cat who is prepping for the Mr. Contra Costa, a high quality NPC show up here in the SF Bay Area- We were training chest. I decide to match him pound-for-pound, rep-for-rep. It was a stupid idea. . .
Flat DB presses, I'm hit the 90's for 8, I was going to stay there and do 3X8. On his next set he goes to the 115 X 8. On my next set I said, "Leave them there, I use them." The first rep was tough, as it always is, on the 2nd rep I feel a very sharp "bang" in my left delt. I back down to the 75's for 12 or something. My front left delt is sore, but not crazy sore. We finish chest. I am extremely sore for a few days but the pain is going away. . .
6-7 days later we're upstairs stretching. My friend is talking to a girl and just dragging ass. I pick up a jump rope and start skipping rope- I'm not kidding. I used to be pretty good- crossovers, double crossovers, double jumps, triple jumps, etc. I'm skipping, doing some crossovers and decide to do a double jump- I pull quick & fast out of the bottom to get the rope around twice on a single jump and BANG. LOL! I dropped the rope and said, "I think I just broke my fucking arm."
Had an MRI 48 hours later and the damage was complete.

doing this stretch is an amazing way to get better shoulder flexibility, rotator cuff strength, a more open pusture throughout your chest, etc etc
