An Illinois Little League is raising money by raffling off an AR-15 rifle. This story is bodybuilding related because many baseball players lift weights to get big.
The Atwood-Hammond Little League's equipment is falling apart.
Last year their raffle only raised $10, so the Atwood Armory is helping them raffle off an AR-15 rifle.
Atwood Armory co-owner Charidy Butcher said the winner must go through the same process as anyone buying a gun.
"They will have to go through a background check just like they were purchasing the firearm from us," she said.

I NEVER buy into raffles. Aside from the fact that I suspect most are rigged... I usually can't stay for the whole event to see if I won. And it's usually a gift certificate to a bar or something... wow.
I would probably throw $5 into the raffle for a weapon like this. And it seems like it is worth it for the gun dealer, Atwood Armory, who just enjoyed national press as a result of their donation. It's a win-win.

Cripes. What kind of deadbeats are they soliciting from? I usually hit the beer tent and get a tenner's worth of the 50-50, fer christ's sake.
