I got nothing against her and I agree she is very pretty.

But it always seemed like what the hell is she doing posing with Draper, Zane, Arnold, etc, on the covers and ads of magazines with these men who are much younger than her, and given her husband owned the whole damned show.  

Just seemed ridiculous.

I believe that thickness is due to the "lawn" being very thick and bushy...yet trimmed in a triangle.
