Geez... the lighting there really was the best.
-
Very cool.
Living in Los Angeles, the Ironman Pro was the first bodybuilding contest of the year, and it was always cool to see who would surprise everyone for the year, and sometimes, a preclude to the Arnold Classic, which was usually held two weeks later. Was very sad to see it go.
Yes, the lighting at this contest, with the background was probably one of the best out there.
-
i thought this was one of jays better performances....he looked great! but $10,000 for the winner??? pffffft....I never understood why
-
Vince taylor looks perfect
-
Yes, the lightning way way better than the Olympia. Silly really.
Bodybuilding regressed further with the discontinuing of Ironman Pro.

The crowds were never that good, especially for an established show. $10k first place prize for 20 years was an insult as well.

ALWAYS BEST STAGE/LIGHTING/PICTURES/ANGLES CAME FROM THIS SHOW....
-
Shawn Ray for the win.
-
The schmoe is strong with this Iceman character
-
always remember the time cormier beat flex at this show, then flex suffered for 2 weeks and came in peeled at the arnold and redeemed himself.
-
Shawn Ray for the win.
That was my thought exactly. Granted, his photo is the best quality.

I try to keep this "bodybuilding" board relevant by posting "bodybuilding" material.

How could an Iconic show like the Ironman go bellyup? Surely another promoter could have taken over.

Especially being in the LA area - so near the Mecca. Has to be enough fans and freaks in the area to turn it into an "event" instead of just a BB comp. You going to tell me nobody is smart enough and well enough connected to turn it into an expo type of event. The fitnesss / training lifestyle is what it's all about out there.

Are you suggesting that when iceman found out about 3DTV he bought one immediately, took the day off work and watched pumping iron 3D, sitting only 5.5 inches away from the set with his mouth open Army of One?
