Speak your mind if it makes you feel better.  But I wonder if you had a sibling or best friend who is a homosexual, would it really make you feel good speaking your mind knowing that it would cause great hurt to someone you love?

Beliefs are fine and dandy... However, civil liberties are not about what you believe... It's about what is right by the law and the Christian right has no ground when it comes to denying civil liberties.

I remember during the election of 2004, asking my mom why she voted for GWB... She said his belief in God... So I asked her, what if your religion wasn't the most prominent in the land, would you want your rights to be dictated by a majority based upon religion?

She had no response.

Believe all you want.  Nobody is arguing against it.  It's the venom that comes out of peoples mouths that is at issue.
