Not sure how this equates to an "owning" if Rippetoe can't respond. The author, who ever that maybe because I didn't see a name attached to the article, sounds like a tool.

The program works great if you replace the squats on day two with chins and dont do the gallon of milk shit.
I hope those examples are a joke

The biggest joke about Rippetoe is that the man himself cannot fucking squat.

Also squatting over 3x your bodyweight deep (not like Rippleschmoe does it, half fucking squats) is way harder than achieving 6pack and a set of guns.

Yes, for the love of weightlifting Christ, never follow that GOMAD horseshit, and add some accessory work for a few minutes every workout, and perhaps a few back off sets, and you'll be fine with it.

The biggest problem isn't the program or Rippetoe, but the fact that the whole Starting Strength program caters to weak beginners that are afraid to adjust it when they need to, even against Rippetoe's advice.

Fair enough, he's just tends to be a bit stubborn about adjusting things, unlike the original Bill Starr programs, etc.....

big muscle = drug.

Wish I knew that long, long ago. I would have abandoned muscle growth and focused entirely on functional strength like pull ups, deadlifts and sprints.

Continuously and progressively lift heavier... and you'll get stronger.

If you want to get BIGGER, you'll need drugs. Heavy lifting isn't required, but it can help. Doesn't take rocket appliances to understand this.

The thread title had the word toe in it, this made me think of camel-toe, I think this thread definitely deserves a camel-toe, just in case someone else enters the thread subconsciously wanting to see a pic of some camel-toe.

Always good to see Rippetoe brought down a notch or two.  His followers (who are usually absolute beginners) are a strange and annoying cult

just look at rippetoe's alltime best bench press, then consider he was a fatass on steroids obsessed with low rep strength training

The pudgy old milk guzzler only squatted 600 in a squat suit, wraps, belt and juiced up to the eyeballs. And given his ridiculous squat technique I assume it was barely to parallel.

Patron saint of fat kids, neckbeards and weaklings
