Yes... it is gay and the batteries do in fact do more harm to the environment than you would if you drove a lambo for 10 years.
After the nickel is mined in Canada, it's put on a boat to Germany where they turn it into a battery, where it's then again put on a boat and shipped to Japan to go into the car.
After all of the mining, processing, and emissions from the ships... You've pretty much fucked the world already.

Extremely reliable cars, German car magazine AutoBild tested a generation 2 Prius long term, 62,000 miles, zero defects. They are now testing a generation 3 Prius for 124,000 miles. Mid term zero problems, as with the previous test.

If you struggle to pay for gas, or find owning a car is really draining your finances, then you should opt out of that responsibility.
Granted, you'll be making your life harder, but i save $800CAD/month by not owning a car.

i try not to drive around like i used to, its bad enough i have to drive 2 hrs one way to work as it is. plus my car has a 350 5.7 liter motor which doesnt help on the gas

where do you live, since a couple of places have good transit systems? i takes 2 hrs in san diego on the bus to get to a location, which only takes 20-25 mins in a car.

yeah but i only work 3 days a week but put in 12 hour days, unfortunaly its the only work i can find at this time and i have to do what i have to do. preferably id like to work closer to home, im getting my CDL soon so hopefully that will help me. i passed the first part of the written test but failed the brake test part so i have to go back next month n retake it

I live in Toronto. Same thing here, a 25min car ride can take up to 2hrs by public transit. That's why it's best to live close to work if possible.

yeah i plan on getting a driving job like delivering beer or sodas, ill prolly shoot for the sodas though cause id prolly be in the back of the truck my first day on the job passed out with empty beer cans all over the floor

There are four of them on parked my floor alone...one guy had a black one, with black rims/hubcaps and tinted windows, tinted rear lights, and it still didnt look "badass".

i like my muscle cars,nothing feels as good as hammering down on that pedal n feeling that car just take off like a jet n also hearing the exhaust growling loud as hell. i rather use more gas every week n enjoy myself than drive something that i dont like,lifes to short

Exactly, this was noted by people on Jalopnik as well...
The Prius driver's focus is not "driving" from it seems. Although, I do see owners who are attentive...but it seems as if the main goal is to say, "I own (not drive) a hybrid."
Complete with going slow in the left lane, figgiting with a smartphone, and giving the middle figure to those passing them in the right lane.
