SOF trained the Afghans in the 80's, its a core job. They conducted ops against the Russians as well in support of the  I would suspect that SOF may have helped the chechens in the early 90's as the movement was more  independence driven than one of Muslim extremism. I seriously doubt any SOF white/black or whatever trained anybody after 2000 or so. The jihadists pretty much hijacked the insurgency after the 2nd Russian invasion in 1999.
