Samsung S4. You have the ability to add more memory or replace the battery. Don't think you can do this with the I Phone.

It's personal preference. They're both fantastic phones, one using Android and one using iOS. I switched from Android to iOS (iPhone5) just to try something new, and also because I didn't want anything bigger than the iphone.
iOS is the smoothest operating system I've used, and it rarely makes mistakes. I didn't get that with Android, but I know the current versions of it are very, very good and have erased some of the past bugginess. They're on par with each other.
I look at it this way - most of these phone do pretty much the same thing. If you're the kind that needs to be in cotrol of every little feature and are huge on customization, etc...go with Android. If you want something with less flexibility, but something very simple that works well, go iOS. It really depends on what you want your phone to do.

if you enjoy being controlled and babysat while peeing in your pants worrying if the next sync will delete all your data go with something that relies on itunes
if you want peace of mind, go with samsung

Go with the Android phone for sure. It's not just a niche market anymore. It's expanded to everyone. Apple products are stagnant. Buy their stocks but not their products. Their products are for dullards who like shiny, stupid shit.

I love how all the apple fags are slowly but surely gravitating towards android knowing they were delusional to think their little homo phone would stay as the best phone out there. Android was always destined to dominate the phone market just bc of its platform and it being so,much more open source.
Apple makes me sick. Greedy devil jew jobs said before he died that he would spend every last dime of apples worth to kill android. Haha the little jew was definitely raging as he was dying. Such a pleasant thought 8)

Iphone4s. Have galaxy s3 now myself and it's a disaster, can't imagine s4 be better. Wife has iphone5 and it's good but my old Iphone4s was best.

If you have other Apple devices (Ipod, Ipad) then the Iphone 5....the devices literally talk to one another.
As a standalone phone, the s4.
If you were smart, however, you would get a Nexus 4G, LG Optimus, or one of the new Blu phones(one of which has a 5.7" inch screen for a mere $300, less than half the price of a Note 2), all of which are great quality and run on Android.

Nobody can legitimately recommend the s4 over the iphone or vice versa until Hippo says what he wants to do with it.

I have a friend that just got the new Nokia windows phone 8. I wasn't expecting much but I must say I was quite impressed with it.

The Samsung S3 and S4 phones are a bit too big for my liking. They're like mini tablets.
