Title: Sportscasters who don't think it's too soon

I'm listening to Sports Radio this morning and the guy is running through the baseball scores from last night and says the following.

The Oakland A's BOMB Boston in a 13 to nothing route.  Poor choice of words?  Probably.

Perhaps he did it unconsciously, you might have heard of experiments where a person can be subliminally influenced to recall certain words. I don't see how something similar couldn't be at play, where the word 'bomb' is chosen unconsciously because of the recent incidents.

Or if he was a muslim, then bomb always seems appropriatte  :D
