They should have to turn the "baseball" sack inside out after someone loses...For all we know, the sack is full of strikes...Another thing, even if she won the car, I'd bet the house that there's something in the fine print that she has to come up with the taxes on it in 30 days...Most people couldn't afford the taxes alone and have to take a cash amount if they even offer a cash option. And sometimes, the cash amount isn't anywhere near the equivalent to the car.
-
Snow man is correct they always throw the tax at you
-
She would've probably driven the car in first gear at all times.
-
;D

it has a dual clutch trans---she could put it in auto and drive.

I had an M3 like that

I had an M3 like that
SMG or DCT?

Damn
Didn't know Drew Carey lost that much weight!!!
80 pounds gone apparently!
-
That fucking SUCKS >:(

she would have had to sell the car right away to pay for the taxes so she wouldn't have probably driven it anywhere.
-
It's funny that they had that on there. It used to be that any sports car on there would be a V6 Mustang or Camaro.

SMG

I'm watching the full video, she guessed the prize starts with a 1. ::) Edit: Well it started with a 2, a damn cheap Ferrari in my opinion. Cars are cheaper in America I guess.
It would be fun trying to figure out what is the probability of a win with this game if one were to guess the numbers at random.

M3's are solid cars, put some pipes on em and they sound really nice.
-
I have always had BMW problems with them though start to make the costs go up though NOT in to that ANY more
-
you can drive those types of cars for so many miles
-
Meh, not upset she lost. Since I didnt have the opportunity to win it, glad she lost.

this is the first time I've seen they put a car that's over 200k. the 3 strike game is one of the most difficult game on that show.....but in this case, it looks like it's one strike you're out.....she pull that one strike and game over, usually, contestants would put that strike back in the bag until they strike out at 3......I assume that since the Prize is the most expansive that show ever displayed, they only give contestants one chance........what are the odds that a contestant would pull all 6 numbers for that Ferrari without that one strike.......they're not stupid....lol....

a dude I know had two of those era M3's---all manual...no trans problems. He said, keep it simple.
He doesn't trust any Ms with with SMGs or DCTs.
-
yeah it seemed cool at the time but I totally agree just keep it all manual

well, the 3 strike Game usually involve an expensive car......Corvettes and Cadillacs are usually offered on this game. I'm really shock to see a ferrari....even in the Bob Barker days, they never offered any italian cars let alone a ferrari.....this was a tease to say the least

I don't really watch Price is Right, last one I saw, Drew had the models hosting...
I guess the 3 strike game means that they have to up the ante...get them (the contestants) amped up for the new car. I remember when they use to bid on boats, do they still do that?

I used to watch this show faithfully in the Bob Barker days...now if I'm home on an off day, I'll turn in. still fun to watch....they still giving away boats once in a while and the Prizes are getting better....but it's the first time they're giving a car over 200k.....the second most expensive item was a RV worth 150k a few years ago...

Just not winning isn't the same as losing. They need a piranha pool or something as a disincentive. Who wouldn't tune in to watch a woman get her feet chewed off?

I thought the video was altered. But maybe you're right and she only got one strike which lit the board up with three strikes. Either way, they weren't gonna let her win that car. This looked like a publicity stunt.
-
Nobody ever wins that game. Same thing with the "Golden Road" one where they always have a car at the end of it that's worth about $80,000.
On a side note, did you guys know Drew is a Marine?

They say that even for cheaper prizes the majority cannot afford to pay the taxes on it to take it home. Apparently there are buyers willing to pay the taxes for you and give you a little cash to take the prizes off your hands.
