"Our clients said the Sherpas manhandled them," he said.

A statement posted Sunday on the website of Italian climber Simone Moro gave a harrowing account, claiming that 100 Sherpas attacked him, Swiss climber Ueli Steck and British climber Jonathan Griffith.

This account said the fight broke out after Sherpas said the climbers knocked ice onto a Sherpa located below them.

"They became instantly aggressive," the statement said, "and not only punched and kicked the climbers, but threw many rocks as well."

That seems to be the case, "In addition, he said, the climbers had been instructed not to go up while Sherpas were laying ropes, but they went ahead despite the warning."

x2  Over-entitled wannabes with no climbing experience trying to polish off a bucket list item. I would toss them off the top of the mountain just for douching up the joint.

Back it the day when they climbed Mt. Everest it was some feat. They didn't have the climbing technology they have today or the established easiest routes. It was primitive and dangerous.

Now it nothing but a phony accomplishment for rich people. I heard of a middle age fat woman that had a Shepa men carry all her gear and even carry her when she got tired. They use these guys as servants. With the high tech clothing, state of the art oxygen systems, Established anchors systems and established camp sites it's amazing no one hasn't installed an escalator.
