Adonis; I got this massive 20 pound free range whole chicken. I really want to make this count and prepare it properly. How should I go about it. One note, I'm not a big fan of spicy. Thanks in advance

TA can comment on this, but I recently watched Bobby Flay season one, stuff it a little, and rub it down with herb butter. He placed it in one of those classic Webber charcoal grills with all the charcoal pushed to the side. Looked amazing after a few hours.

With an average free range chicken weighing about 4 pounds, it sounds like you have a mutant on steroids.

Butter (& herbs) would likely burn unless it was ghee. Better to rub it down with peanut oil & season. Could put pats of butter under skin. Stuff it with lemon, fresh herbs...

I'll weigh it and take a pic of it
Its easily the size of an average turkey
Where is Mr. Krasnov?

6 feet under I would assume
Exactly where you will end up. Benjamin Franklin paid good money for fresh corpses. In god we trust.

A 20 pound chicken? Did you weigh it on Cleanest Natural's scale?

Now that you mention it, I believe that's what he did.

Thats about what he needs to do with it. Two Stage Fire, add Charcoal as needed.
