Anybody know of any sites that offer these kind of services, or have any experience with pricing etc of this type of service? My wife is done with maternity leave the beginning of July, and we don't have a day care lined up until September, so we were looking for a live in nanny, and have heard that they are cheaper if you let them live with you(around $1,000 month). Also, not trying to go to some site where they send me someone who's going to fuck up my kid. Thanks in advance.

I have a French Au Pair. I'm sure it varies depending on service, but for two years worth of live-in child care it's cost me somewhere over 40k total. We pay her 200$ every week, not month, and bought an extra vehicle to make sure she has something to drive my kid around in while the wife and I are both at work. The initial contract with the Au Pair service we used it was about 15k total. The contracts are pretty well thought out and protect you and the Air Paire exceptionally well. So after the initial 15k of the contract (estimate), 15k total we will have paid the Au Paire, and the fact we bought a BRAND NEW NISSAN VERSA HELL YEAH (sarcasm...incredibly boring but cost efficient car) to make sure she can go-cart my kid around...well you can do the math.
Has it been worth it? Yes. Hell yea. We interviewed possible live-ins for a few months and found the one we have now. We are kind of sad that she HAS to leave at the end of her two year contract. She has done amazingly well with our kid and is a part of our family. We are going to have a sad day when she heads out and considering our kid straight up loves her, she will have an even harder time. The two are like big sis and little sis.
The one we used I *think* has different contract lengths. I'm not 100% on the minimums. All in all I can highly recommend it if you have the scratch.

Are you in Europe though? I don't want an American, figured I'd kill two birds with one stone since my language tutor left.

In the USA. I *think* the link I posted does countries other than USA. I would imagine so since they do Au Pairs from every country I can think of. At one of their meetings I went to with 7 other host families, NONE of the Au Pairs were from the same country. And you ultimately decide who you want to work with you.
Are you fucking her? ???
No.

I have a condo located about a half mile or so from my house, my renter is moving out September 1st. My wife and I were talking about putting an au pair in there rent free, but she has to come to the house to babysit during the day. She can work a night time job to get a little extra spending cash, as we don't typically go out on weekends anymore. Any of you guys have experience with this sort of thing? I figured it would be easier to put a foreigner in the condo, as they would not know all of the laws to stop paying rent, and live there for a few months rent free and reneg on the babysitting.

Geez bro, I just went to this site and typed in German speaking au pairs, no fucking way my wife would go for this, half these chicks are hot, and are doing cartwheels and shit in their videos. ;D I told her we could get a dude, and she was like, "no, I think a girl would take better care of the baby". Yeah right, she will take one look at the chicks and probably say no. Especially if they are living with us, lol.

I made sure to pick the least bangable one out of the bunch that we looked at and it's still difficult. I remember her first pick I straight up said "umm, you are going to divorce me if you pick her".
