Actually they eat about 40lbs of vegitation per day. Not fruits. That's why apes are worthless bodybuilders with horribly expanded guts.

But they are strong as fuck with out eating meat
occasionally they do, snacking on smaller monkey

According to Bill Pearl who was a vegetarian, the body only needs something like 30 grams of protein a day to build muscle as that's all the body can use anyway.
(Not that I necessarily agree with him)
-
I am sure that they can eat meat I would not want a silver back trying to eat me
-
Sometimes I wonder if Bill Pearl is completely right. He was a big protein meat eater and he said his blood results were really bad. He went to vegetarian diet and he never lost any size or strength. His blood work improved greatly. He's not the only successful bodybuilder who was a vegetarian. There are some studies that agree you don't need a lot of protein.
I know it's not bodybuilding but Kenyan runners run 26 miles at a 5 minute mile and below pace. Realize most commercial treadmills max out at a 5 minute mile. Imagine running faster than a treadmill can go for 26 miles? These Kenyans do it on what is basically a vegetarian diet. Having meat is a rare thing for them.

the "Kenyan" aspect makes up for any training or diet defficiences and also birth defects. Us honkys need beef and roids.

"...if Bill Pearl is completely right."
He did admit that he was vegetarian only for his last show... and that makes him a prime example of a successful vegetarian body builder ;D There is nothing in common between a successful bodybuilder and vegetarian diet...

Looks like tbombz' dad.

You actually get protein from vegetarian diets, it's not one or the other. Eggs, dairy, quinoa etc. And you get complete proteins if you eat enough vegetables and nuts and whole grain each day. It's nothing to worry about this protein-thing. It's hard to not get in enough if you eat with common sense. And if you are unsure you can always down a shake.
