Bloody brilliant actor.

His portrayal of Micky Ward's half brother Dicky in 'The Fighter' was outstanding and really made the film for me.

x2

Looking back to some of his roles in the last 10 years, in 20-30 years time - it'll be even clearer how much better he was than his peers.

He'll be back in shape as soon as he's done with whatever role he did that for.

No, Renner never had that kind of beard. He looks more like Quinn Abercromby from "Reign of Fire"

Don't forget Renners credible performance as a Superhero in "Avengers" and as Hansel in "Hansel and Gretel: Tbombzhunters"

Isn't it possible to watch an actor perform different types of roles / characters though?

it is possible, but I have the choice not to do so.

And your reasoning behind this choice is what? :D

Why do you want to see Renner as this Jem-character and nobody else?

Jem was like a father figure to me. he'd kill for his familia. instead of his familia trying to kill him. guy took a 9 year pinch for his best friend. never take the stand.

renner, bale and day-lewis are all good actors

renner is quite interesting and up and coming though. day-lewis is slightly overrated to be honest.

and bam-bams avatar is about the coolest I've ever seen

Bale's first 2 Batman movies were epic.

Not such a fan of the third one.

Never heard of Fagniel Gay Lewis.
