South Carolina House passes bill making ‘Obamacare’ implementation a crime

The South Carolina state House passed a bill Wednesday that declares President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be “null and void,” and criminalizes its implementation.

The state’s Freedom of Health Care Protection Act intends to “prohibit certain individuals from enforcing or attempting to enforce such unconstitutional laws; and to establish criminal penalties and civil liability for violating this article.”

I guess the tax payers of South Carolina have money to burn on stuff like this that will never work

All they are doing is letting the Federal Government have even more control over the insurance exchanges in their state

It's a cool gesture, and kudos to them for standing by their principles.... But straw is right... It's a waste of time and money, the federal government will never allow a state to blatantly defy Federal law.

So now a LAW passed by both houses of Congress, signed by the President of the U.S., and ruled constitutional by a conservative Supreme Court is "illegal" in South Carolina. Slim chance this "law" is unconstitutional itself.
