"Safety fat?"
It's the freaking NFL, you don't think they know what they're doing with coaches, trainers, doctors, nutritionists, etc??????

No trainer or doctor said he was too fat, a coach said it. i think he means bulk isn't a bad thing in the nfl. he's 274 or something like that. i've noticed the lean bber steroid junkies like reggie bush, leron landry and david boston, can't stay off the injured list. food bulk vs synthetic, which is better for optimal playing weight?
you know long term use of steroids makes connective tissue brittle, which can't be a good thing in the nfl, when players need maximum flexibility

Ironically 2 of those guys played for my team. Reggie was the man but I hated David Boston the dude played like he was 150lbs just a big disappointment

Average NFL player lasts 2-3 years if they're lucky, how long have those you mentioned have been playing?

David Boston got to big! He was a wide receiver he was like 250 he lost all his speed and some of his athletic ability! He was traded to Miami from San Diego! He was always hurt!
